The Celebration of Summer is well under way and what better way to enjoy it than taking in a concert or two at scenic Plyler Park, located in downtown Myrtle Beach. The Food Lion Sun Fun Summer Long Concert Series, with official sponsorship by the Oceanfront Merchants Association, hosts free live music every Saturday night at 7 p.m. Upcoming performers include Tru Soul, playing MoTown and R&B tunes; Donny & Susan Trexler, a beach music duo; and Peralta Band, a spicy latin group sure to have you doing the cha-cha. Grab a partner and tee off on some of Myrtle Beach’s best golf courses this summer. Bring your family or friends and buddy up to hit the links in a Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday Summer Family Golf tournament. The format is a two-person Captain’s Choice (Scramble), using the Callaway System (no handicap necessary). Each single-day tournament consists of three divisions: Open, Couples and Adult/Youth. Single golfers are more than welcome and will be paired with a partner upon registration. Families will be delighted, as kids age 16 and under play free everyday.
