Weekend in the Park

Autumn is a wonderful time to plan a weekend getaway! While you’re here you can stroll through Chapin Park and see the many works of local artists at the annual Art in the Park juried art show. Taking place in the heart of Myrtle Beach, the show runs Oct. 14 and 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Art in the Park is sponsored by the Waccamaw Arts and Crafts Guild. Need information on where to stay? Chili Fest '06 Oct. 14 It's not Chilly at the Chili Fest

While the nip in the morning air melts into warm fall days, the food is HOT-HOT-HOT at the Chili Fest '06 at Broadway at the Beach. On Oct. 14 from 12 to 3 p.m. amateurs and restauranteurs will square off in Celebrity Square to win cash prizes with their fired up creations. Scoop up a bowl of chili and enjoy the fall arts and crafts festival at Broadway at the Beach.
