Shaggin’ on the Boulevard
You may have heard the band Alabama sing about “shaggin’ on the boulevard.” Now’s your chance to see the real goings-on – at the National Shag Dance Competition, coming up March 9-11 at The Attic on Ocean Boulevard (where else?). Some of the best shaggers in the USA compete in this annual event, and watching is almost as much fun as shagging! www.shagnationals.com. |

Anna’s Animals
Anna Hyatt Huntington spent all of her adult life sculpting magnificent works of art, most of which are on exhibit at Brookgreen Gardens, which she and husband Archer founded in the early ’30s. For the first time, visitors to Brookgreen will be able to view and learn about the full scope of her work in “American Animalier: The Sculpture and Influences of Anna Hyatt Huntington.” The exhibit opens March 10. www.brookgreen.org. |
