History, With a Side of Hushpuppies

Murrells Inlet is famous for its rich history and delectable seafood. The two go hand in hand at Oliver's Lodge, one of the oldest restaurants in this fishing village. Originally constructed as a home around 1860, Oliver's has lodged seamen and servicemen and fed generations of seafood-hungry vacationers. Visit Oliver's Lodge and see why the legend lives on. (And be sure to sample the hushpuppies!)

Adventure on Water!

What better way to spend a day than on the water? Choose from dolphin watching, saltwater marsh exploring or ocean sightseeing, or cast your line in a deep-sea fishing excursion! Can't decide? Then do them all ... along the Grand Strand's 60 miles of coastline, there is plenty of room to have a wonderful water adventure!

Classic Basketball

For two exciting weeks this December, the Myrtle Beach area will resound with pounding basketballs during the annual Beach Ball Classic. December 17-21, some of the best girls baskeball teams will descend upon the Grand Strand to play ball. Next up are the men's teams, battling it out in the 25th annual Beach Ball Classic.
