Through a collaborative effort with city partners and Myrtle Beach Convention Center, secured United States Lifesaving Association and National High School Coaches Association for 2007. Both groups have strong potential to return for multiple years, bringing close to 20,000 room nights into the area over the next five years.
Welcomed more than 215,300 people at our welcome centers. Answered more than 155,087 telephone calls and fulfilled 403,971 qualified inquiries.
Hosted a “Myrtle Beach Meets the Big Apple” immersion tour for editors in New York City and visited editors throughout New Jersey and Philadelphia.
Obtained state matching tourism dollars through the Tourism Promotion Fund of $3.75 million.
